This trip is Cairns' only Half Day Reef Trip Adventure.
Raging Thunder's Thunderbolt 1 vessel was specifically designed for the
ocean conditions between Fitzroy Island and the Outer Edge of the Great
Barrier Reef. Thunderbolt 1 is the first of a new generation of high speed
reef boats which combines the speed of smaller light-weight run abouts
operated by the Navy and Army assault units, with the sea going safety of
an offshore patrol vessel. The massive 600hp engines provide strength and
reliability, whilst the Seafury surface propulsion system generates
maximum speed with minimal resistance. Thunderbolt 1 turns sharply on
command, providing our passengers with a safe, comfortable ride with the
added advantage of extreme manoeuvrability - hold on tight!!!
Thunderbolt 1 is one of a kind, travelling at 80 km/h it
will take just 24 minutes to reach our site at Thetford, Flynn or Moore
Reefs on the Outer Edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Getting there
will be half the fun, and seasickness will be a thing of the past. Choose
from the 3 transfer times available for a full or half day adventure!
In the interests of safety, Raging Thunder Adventures
reserves the right to alter or change all destinations and itineraries at
any time due to adverse weather conditions or situations outside their
control. In the interest of safety, you will not be allowed to ride
Thunderbolt if you have any pre-existing spinal or neck injuries, are
shorter than 120cm, or are pregnant.

- All snorkelling gear and instruction included
