Reef Encounter is a 35 metre long luxury catamaran that lets you experience the Great Barrier Reef even if you have the smallest amount of time. The fully air-conditioned vessel has plenty of storage space and every cabin has a private bathroom. You won't have to wait for a vacant one. The vessel also has its own desalination plant, so you'll have the luxury of unlimited fresh water showers. During the day, while you aren't in the water, you can relax in the spacious outdoor decks, the indoor lounges, your cabin, or the onboard heated spa on the bow.

Reef Encounter has the Great Barrier Reef's only elevator. This is not for transit between decks but to make diving, snorkelling and getting on and off the vessel much easier. If you have never tried SCUBA diving before. You can give it a quick 10 minute trial and see whether it's your thing. Certified divers are able to do night dives and Intro Divers can do Introductory Night Dives. Introductory divers have the opportunity to become certified by doing the "Personalised Open Water Course". In this course the fundamentals of the traditional 5 day course is done away with and you become certified in 3 days! In this course, you learn by experience under the watchful eye of your instructor with no more than 3 other students. There's no pools and no classroom. Just safe fun.

Reef Encounter is the only vessel on the Great Barrier Reef with an onboard helipad, offering helicopter transfers for $275.00 per person one way to or from Reef Encounter and $500.00 return, landing directly onboard the vessel. Helicopter transfers are a wonderful way to see the Great Barrier Reef and it really is arriving in style.
