Passions of Paradise is a fast, modern 25 meter maxi-catamaran which sails daily to Michaelmas Cay and the Great Barrier Reef, taking you to the best locations with the one of the friendliest crews on the Reef.

Michaelmas Cay is an unspoilt paradise recognized internationally as one of the most important bird nesting sanctuaries on the Great Barrier Reef. Host to over 20,000 sea birds, this unique and fragile ecosystem combines brilliant white sand with colourful soft coral, warm shallow water and an abundance of marine life, perfect for snorkeling, scuba diving, glass bottom boat tours or just relaxing on the beach.

A "Day of Passion" includes lunch, all snorkelling equipment, optional introductory and certified Scuba Diving and the thrill of sailing on a "thoroughbred" machine. Breaking Patches & Michaelmas Reef (the first destination) is approximately 40 kilometers and 2 hours from Cairns. This is where there is an exclusive marine park mooring called Paradise Reef and with no other boats nearby, you can enjoy pristine reef without crowds. This reef location is ideal for both Introductory and Certified diving and the snorkeling is up close and personal.

The second destination is to the Outer Barrier Reef, where lies Passions' exclusive mooring at Breaking Patches, called Paradise Reef (hence no crowds). Here you will find the beautiful hard coral gardens that the Outer Reef is famous for.

The crew will serve you a fantastic Tropical Smorgasbord Lunch and assist you in every way to enjoy all your in-water activities. On the way home, the sails are put up. When the wind blows at 12 to 14 knots the vessel will travel at higher speeds. With less wind the boat travels at a more relaxed pace. But don't worry you'll still be home in time for dinner! And of course - there is the "Glass Bottom" bar, (ask the crew about the name!), fully stocked for a refreshing drink after a hard day on the Great Barrier Reef.

  • Smorgasbord Tropical Lunch
